Colorato come un quadro di Van Gogh, il Mercato dei fiori Galleggiante si snoda lungo il Singel ad ovest della Muntplein, nella cerchia dei canali est di Amsterdam. Oggi le bancarelle galleggianti rimangono ancorate stabilmente mentre anticamente i vivaisti arrivavano ad Amsterdam lungo il fiume con le loro imbarcazioni per vendere i fiori e le piante dei loro campi.
